Tenuta Monteverro

In Monteverro the  nature is the protagonist, the estate was built with an architecture capable of integrating as much as possible with the landscape, without dominate it. The cellar was also designed to allow grapes to be processed and wine, as natural and respectful as possible.The estate covers an area of ​​about 60 hectares of which only 35 were planted with vineyards, while the rest have been left to olive trees and scrubland Mediterranean, this is also the habitat of various animal species, whose king undisputed is the wild boar. And it is to him that Monteverro owes its name: historically, “boar” is the word used in this region to indicate the wild boar, a sign that the scrub surrounding the small town of Capalbio has always been (and is still) home to many wild boars. The company produces: two white wines, Vermentino and Chardonnay, four reds, Verruzzo, Terra di Monteverro, Tinata, and Monteverro, and also grappa and olive oil. Inside the estate it is possible to make visits, where you can walk between the vineyards, visit the winery and take part in a tasting.
